Ms. Maria Luz B. Belleza is currently a University Researcher at the Department of Parasitology, College of Public Health. She is a licensed Medical Technologist having graduated from Centro Escolar University for her undergraduate studies. She was a former medical technologist at the Health Department of the Municipality of Pateros. She has also served as a faculty member at the Global City Innovative College and Centro Escolar University.

Ms. Belleza received a Diploma in Applied Parasitology and Entomology with distinction at the Institute for Medical Research, SEAMEO-TROPMED Regional Center for Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She finished Master of Science in Public Health (Medical Parasitology) at the College of Public Health, University of the Philippines Manila, during which she has investigated epidemiological and population genetics analysis of Blastocystis in the Philippines.
