Dr. Camacho is a cum laude graduate of BS Public Health from University of the Philippines Manila. She finished her medical degree from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and went on to pursue Family and Community Medicine as her residency training at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital where she was appointed as Chief Resident.  She then pursued her interest in Occupational Health and took Masters in Public Health with a tracking in Environmental and Occupational Health at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore under a full scholarship grant from the said institution.  She is also a Fellow of the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Camacho is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, College of Public Health, UP Manila.  She is also Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine, UP-Philippine General Hospital.
She has served as an Occupational Health and Safety speaker for numerous events. She has been a research consultant and member of technical working groups (TWGs) for various activities of the Department of Health, World Health Organization and NGO’s involved in the promotion of occupational health and safety. She is also a technical reviewer of researches for the University of the Philippines Manila and Philippine Council for Health Research and Development and the National Institute of Health (NIH). Dr. Camacho is a member of the Board of Examiners for the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP).
At present, she is a member of the Research Team working on the “Strengthening of National Occupational Health and Safety Program and Related Activities,” “Development of Water Safety Plan for Water Refilling Stations of the Philippines,” “Updating of the Philippine National Standards of Drinking Water,”and “Moving Forward: A Curriculum Review of the Master of Occupational Health (MOH) program of UP-CPH.”
